none6Nowadays, in Europe about 9 millions of ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles) are treated every year. Generally about 75% in weight of a ELV is recycled; the remaining 25%, called ASR (Automobile Shredder Residue) or car-fluff, is considered as a waste and disposed in landfill with high management costs. In the present work, a specific flow of ASR coming from a treatment plant of End-of-Life Vehicles (Fiori Group), analysing material and physico-chemical features, in order to address this type of waste (which to date does not find other paths than being dumped) towards an effective valorisation.noneL.
